SSAT Overview

The SSAT actually requires more preparation than SAT/ACT because we are teaching 5th graders content as well as test taking strategies.

We start with a mock exam. The mock exam is administered in home and we provide a detailed analysis of the student’s performance. This is crucial to the rest of the process and is actually something that sets us apart. Pairing students with the right tutor is especially important for the SSAT, as 5th and 6th graders’ rapport with the tutor is every bit as important as the tutor’s content knowledge and understanding of the test. That’s why we work to ensure the tutor’s personality is the right fit for each student. From there, we map out a 3-4 month intensive prep process that both introduces students to unknown content and exposes them to test taking strategies not only crucial to success on the SSAT, but to success on future standardized tests.
